Let me tell you something most people won’t say out loud…
Fear doesn’t show up when you’re weak.
Fear shows up when you’re being called higher.
Because if there’s no calling… there’s nothing to fear.
And I know fear intimately.
When I lost my son Jeremy to cancer…
it didn’t just break my heart…
it broke my identity.
There were eight months—
where I didn’t know who I was anymore.
And fear moved in.
Fear of waking up to another day without him.
Fear that my life had no purpose anymore.
Fear that I would never feel joy again.
Fear that the woman I used to be… was gone forever.
And here’s the truth…
Fear will lie to you in the voice of certainty.
It will tell you:
👉 “This is the end.”
👉 “You’ll never recover.”
👉 “You’re not strong enough.”
But what I learned…
is that fear is not a stop sign.
Fear is an invitation.
An invitation to build the capacity your calling requires.
Because God never removes the fear—
He gives you the strength to walk through it.
And I didn’t overcome fear overnight.
I overcame it moment by moment.
Sometimes it looked like getting out of bed when I didn’t want to.
Sometimes it looked like praying when I didn’t have the words.
Sometimes it looked like choosing to believe…
even when everything in me felt broken.
And slowly… something started to shift.
I realized…
Fear was not there to destroy me.
It was there to transform me.
Because on the other side of fear…
is the version of you that can actually carry your purpose.
The woman I am today…
could not have existed without walking through that fear.
The mission I carry today…
Jeremy’s Unity Flight…
helping people rebuild their identity after trauma…
That didn’t come from comfort.
That came from walking straight through fear
with God leading every step.
So, if you’re feeling fear right now…
I want you to hear me clearly:
You are not breaking.
You are being built.
The fear you feel is not proof you can’t do it…
It’s proof that what’s in front of you matters.
So don’t run from it.
Walk through it.
Even if your voice shakes.
Even if your hands tremble.
Even if you don’t feel ready.
Because readiness is not a requirement.
Faith is.
And if you keep walking…
One step at a time…
You won’t just overcome fear.
You’ll become someone who fear no longer controls.
